Wolf Moon is a video depicting the artist's transformation into a werewolf within a simulated 3-d forest.
I was inspired by what would now be considered antiquated special effects techniques in classic 16mm and 35mm horror films: optical printing, camera trickery, physical matte techniques, etc.
I attempted to duplicate the intention and aesthetic of these techniques with the tools available to artists working with digital video: chroma-keying, opacity fades, and vector and pixel warping.
