desktop_tropicália explores how tropical aesthetics—ripe with colonial residue—collide with visions of hyper-modernity, surveillance, platform labour and speculative futurism. Users navigate the space through clicks and interactions, transforming the piece into a kind of ambient game: there's no narrative or goal, only the slow unraveling of a lush, uncanny interface. Built with JavaScript and C, desktop_tropicália invites visitors to engage with a digitized landscape that feels at once escapist and invasive—where the desktop becomes terrain, and every click reveals a world that’s both exoticized and algorithmic.
